2020 Asset Management Summer Internship - London

This is an excellent opportunity to participate in a 10-week summer internship programme at Leucadia Investment Management Limited (LIML), a division of Leucadia National Corporation. LIML is an asset management company providing hedge fund investment opportunities in global equity event strategies. The internship will provide the correct candidate with a superb opportunity to experience the entire workings of a hedge fund, from investment processes through portfolio management, capital raising and operations. 

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broader range of financial service business through our affiliation to Jefferies and direct, active involvement in hedge fund investing. The role will require candidates to analyze and present investment opportunities, as well as to perform qualitative and quantitative research from predominantly primary sources. In addition, fact checking, investigative research, field analysis and data mining will be core parts of the role. Candidates will be expected to interact with companies, analysts, journalists and other relevant sources of information. 

We are a small team and expect the role to be active and challenging, allowing successful candidates to make impactful investment cases towards the performance of the assets under management.

Students in their penultimate or final year of study, with an anticipated graduation date of Spring/Summer 2020 or 2021, may apply for our Internship Programme.

Although a background in accounting or finance can be helpful, we hire Summer Interns who have studied a variety of degree disciplines.
