Full Time Analyst

The Energy Transaction Services Group within Jefferies Energy Investment Banking Group is currently seeking a Petroleum Economist. This role will support the Energy Investment Banking Group in its merger, acquisition, divestment and capital markets activities for the exploration and production, and midstream transportation and processing, industries.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Building and running cash flow economic models, using ARIES, PHDWin, Excel and other cash flow economic programs in support of MA&D and other capital markets activities.
  • Assisting in analyzing and organizing economic and commercial information for data rooms and supporting the data room process by answering questions from potential buyers relating to this information.

  • Able to multi-task in a team environment
  • Able to consistently meet short project deadlines with rapid, yet meticulously accurate results
  • Able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
  • Familiar with the upstream oil and gas industry
  • Intimately familiar with US oil and gas cash flow economics, including production, land and financial systems
  • Preferred experience with Aries, PHDWin or other cash flow economics programs
  • Preferred experience with Excel and Access
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Four year degree in Petroleum Engineering, Business, Economics or related industry field highly preferred

 

As a Petroleum Economist, the candidate will work closely with technical and investment banking staff as an integral member of an A&D or capital markets project team.

The salary for this role is $80,000.
