MENA Team Overview:
Jefferies’ MENA IB Group offers a full range of investment banking services to a wide range of companies across many sectors, including M&A, ECM and DCM. The MENA IB Group was established in late 2023 and is expected to have 10-15 bankers by early 2026, allowing bankers the opportunity to be given more responsibility and be creative and entrepreneurial as the MENA business grows.

Our Interns are exposed to the breadth of Jefferies’ offering across investment banking products and leading industry expertise by working closely with senior bankers on pitches and live deals. Our lean deal team structure will not only provide you with unparalleled hands-on experience, it will help you develop lasting personal and professional relationships with peers and senior bankers that will serve as the foundation for a successful career.
In addition to performing fundamental analysis and research into companies and markets, Interns are challenged to think creatively, offer their input, and add value to the team from day one. As with everyone at Jefferies, Interns are expected to pursue their projects with excellence, a collaborative spirit, and with the highest levels of integrity.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Performing financial valuation, discounted cash flow and multiples-based analysis
- Building and operating financial models
- Preparing pitchbooks and live deal materials, such as management presentations, offering memorandums and prospectuses
- Conducting industry and product research
- Analysing detailed corporate and financial information
- Participating in the execution of M&A, equity and debt transactions
- Interaction with clients, potential buyers etc.
- Helping to build out the MENA business / office and franchise
Requirements:
- Successful candidates must show an ability to work as part of a global team, with a self-starting approach to problem solving, quantitative skills, accuracy, flexibility, reliability, dedication, and enthusiasm
- Excellent academic credentials and professional drive
- Previous investment banking / corporate finance experience is an advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate a passion for excellence
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluency in Arabic is an advantage
- Both attention to detail and the ability to see the bigger picture
